Girls doing geometry activity

In this three-part training series, participants will learn how to engage preschoolers in meaningful, hands-on activities of number sense and geometry. This series will support student’s number sense development, properties of objects and the relation of objects in space. Participants will watch videos and develop strategies to support students’ mathematical thinking. Participants will also plan for activity implementation and reflect on progress at follow up sessions. For more information check out our flyer.

Registration Requirement: This training requires team-base participation. Teams should consist of two teachers and one site supervisor. You must create a Team first and then join it to register.

Saturday, January 12, 2019 9am-12pm (1st session canceled)

Saturday, March 16, 2019 9am-12pm

Registration Deadline: January 11, 2018 or until full. Space is limited!

Cost: $35 per person per series + processing fees.

Important Information:

  • Every participant must provide their CA ECE Workforce Registry ID Number in order to participate and receive their Certificates of Completion. Visit www.caregistry.org to obtain a Registry ID Number if you do not already have one.

  • Participants must be present all hours on all dates to complete the training.

  • QRIS stipend applicable only if you have turned in all stipend required documents by the deadline. Stipend documents will be availble soon. Visit our webpage: www.smcoe.org/QRISstipend for program information.

  • No walk-ins are permitted.

  • Eventbrite service fees and credit card processing fees will be added to total ticket price.

  • For your convenience, light morning refreshments will be provided. However, if you have specialized dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own. Where applicable, vegetarian options will be available.
